A good hand hygiene can significantly reduce the risk of cross-transmission of many infectious microorganisms.
A considerable number of disease transmitting pathogens can be controlled through personal hygiene. Good hand hygiene will reduce the risk of flu, food poisoning and healthcare associated infections being passed from person to person.
