Hand cleanliness is considered as most vital element of infection control. This is especially true in current circumstances, where an outburst of virus has enforced people to reverse back to the basics of infection preventions by modest measures like hand sanitation. A good hand hygiene can significantly reduce the risk of cross-transmission of many infectious microorganisms.

A considerable number of disease transmitting pathogens can be controlled through personal hygiene. Good hand hygiene will reduce the risk of flu, food poisoning and healthcare associated infections being passed from person to person.
